STUDIO A114 HONOURED TO BE PART OF THIS HISTORIC POP UP

Lynette Murray Hair of Studio A114 is so excited to be part of ‘The Portview Pop Up’ in an historic East Belfast location to celebrate local businesses this Christmas.

A group of local businesses in East Belfast have joined forces in a heart-warming display of community and entrepreneurship to bring a unique shopping experience to the city this holiday season. Throughout November and December, ‘The Portview Pop Up’ will take place in the historic Portview Trade Centre, once a pioneering spinning mill from the early 1900s and celebrated for its progressive employment of women and blend of traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies. The pop-up features an exciting line-up of partners, each adding a distinctive flair to the event:

Visitors can expect to find a diverse selection of items: vegan hair products, stunning photography, art prints, luxurious wreaths, faux flower bouquets, jewellery, artisan chocolates, pottery, candles, handmade stationery, social enterprise goods, curated gift boxes and many more. It is hoped that the joint venture will celebrate the power and spirit of small businesses whilst encouraging consumers to consider shopping locally.

Rachel McIlgorm, founder of Storybox NI CIC said, “The collaboration aims to demonstrate the resilience and creativity of the local business community while providing a tailored shopping experience for all. By supporting local enterprises, visitors and customers can not only find one-of-a- kind treasures but also play a vital role in bolstering their neighbourhood’s economic well-being.”

In addition, several other local artisans have been given the opportunity to trade in the facilities on Saturdays and Sundays, adding an even greater selection to the pop-up's range whilst supporting fellow small businesses.

The Portview Pop Up is the latest venture amongst a growing number of eateries, bar, and shops in the area, such as Banana Block, Boundary Brewery, Creative Exchange, Dandy Lion and more. The area offers visitors the chance to make a day of exploring this vibrant hub. This holiday season let's come together to celebrate the extraordinary offerings of our community and make this festive period truly special.
