tori & sean's beautiful belfast wedding

Okay people, I have already shared Tori and Sean's wedding day trailer, but this is their whole wedding day film. It has been beautifully captured by two of my favourite people, cinematographers Matt and Abby, the creative duo behind http://www.forever-social.co.uk/ If you haven't already booked yourself someone to capture your wedding day, well these guys are for you. Seriously, not only are they totally lovely people, but they will knock your socks off with their crazy talents. Book them!!!!

Creating Tori's hair for her wedding day was such a privilege. From our first meeting in Clements with her mummy we got on. She just has such a beautiful soul. Tori's bridal choices were all people and designers I love. Lizzie Agnew made her wedding gown and I think you'll agree how stunning it was. Sandra from Blue Meadow Bridal designed her headpiece and bridesmaids hairpieces too. All beautifully handmade with the finest pearls and gems.

Tori and Sean also had photographer http://www.laurajcurran.com/  capture all their wedding day moments and if you check her out you will see how amazingly talented she is too. Laura is warm and friendly and I would recommend her to any couple getting married.

jump the broom

I married my best friend on Friday 25th November 2011 in the Ulster Museum in Belfast. My long time friend and photographer Emma Campbell captured our big day. She was an absolute star! Professional, funny, warm and all my guests loved her. I highly recommend Emma for your wedding day too. She captures moments beautifully.  Check out Jump the Broom and you'll even see me and my hubby featured.

Heidi & Frazer Get Wed

In my line of work I get to meet the nicest people and Heidi was one of those people.

If you click on this link it will take you to the fabulous site LoveMyDress. I have always loved this website and was honoured that my beautiful bride Heidi shared that I created her bridal hair on it. I think you will agree that Heidi and Frazer had such a wonderful sense of style and photograper Kat Mervyn captured their day perfectly.

Booking your Bridal Dream Teams

You’ve said “YES”, you’re literally floating on cloud 9. Venue and date are set, planning has begun. If hair is of great importance to you, DON’T put booking your favourite wedding hairstylist off. You may have been following their work on social media and would love to book them.

If like me, their bridal diary could be booked up months, to a year in advance. You don’t want to be disappointed in not booking part of your dream team.

Think about style and how you invision yourself on your big day. Book hairstylists who will travel to your home/hotel on your wedding morning. Let us come to you. It takes the pressure off you.

Contact hairstylists directly via phone, email or their website. Once contacted by brides, I always check availability of their date against my bridal diary. If I'm available I then forward my wedding letters and pricing to them and we take it from there.

Meet your potential bridal hairstlyist for coffee (green tea for me) and seek their guidance in regards to hair accessories and viels. You can get a real feel for someone once you’ve actually met them.

I like to meet all my brides for chats to find out their style and vision for their big day.

Make moodboards – pinterest, images from websites or magazines. It’s better to have actual images you love rather than trying to verbally explain. It gives us a better understanding of what your bridal vision is. We don’t mind looking through the images, it’s our job and we love it!

The internet is a wonderful crutch for wedding planning. Do your research.

Search blogs – Inspire , One Fab Day, Both do Real Life Weddings

·      Websites – Facebook - Instagram

·      Stalk people (it’s okay to stalk and have a good nosey)

·      Set yourself a budget

·      Decide on what kind of bride you want to be

Last but not least, remember your future hubby or wife have asked YOU to marry them, not a version of what you think a “bride” should look like.

Don’t be afraid to be yourself.  A bride is YOU!

My Beautiful Brides

I get to meet so many wonderful people in my line of work. Bridal hair is something I have an insane passion for. I just love creating soft natural styles that stay. Here are some of my favourite images captured of my beautiful brides.
